"Due to the this year's run-up in oil prices, we are now finding it hard to find a significant amount of value in this sector," said Bob Straus, a portfolio manager at Icon Advisers, the Greenwood Village fund shop.
The $206 million Icon Energy fund, whose lead skipper, JC Waller, was unavailable for an interview, has gradually built its cash stake to roughly 20 percent of the portfolio, increasingly leery about keeping most of its chips on the table.

Straus and John Segner, portfolio manager of the Invesco Energy fund, said the most enticing values can be found today in energy-services companies. -
