   Lars Stransky Lars Stransky (Horn) Lars Stransky was born in 1966 in Trier. His first Horn lesson was with Erig Einecke in Ludwigshafen/Rhein. He studied at the Cologne Conservatoire with Prof. Erich Percel and then with Prof. Ronald Berger in Vienna. He was the winner of the 1983 and 1984 „Jugend musiziert competitions. In 1984 he won first prize in the Concerto Competition in Michigan, USA. In 1985 he became first horn with the Radio Symphony Orchestra in Berlin and then took the same post with the German Opera on the Rhein. Since September 1993 Lars Stransky has been first horn with both the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. He is also a member of the Vienna Wind Ensemble and the Vienna Wind Octet and has made numerous solo appearances both at home and abroad. Content © 1997 MMM Agency
