    While an undergraduate at the University of Nebraska, Dr. Strand was an accomplished runner named as a NCAA All American in Track.He has continued his interest in the sport throughout the years, and incorporated it into his medical career.He was the Chief Medical Officer for the United States Olympic Track and Field Trials in 1992 and 1996.Dr. Strand was member of the USA 2000 Olympic Team in Australia, as a physician for the American Track and Field Olympic athletes.Dr. Strand is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.Dr. Strand has founded radiology practices in California, Colorado and Arizona.He served as Chief of Radiology for many years at Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix.Dr. Strand is a partner at Pinnacle Radiology.He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.He is licensed to practice in six states.

    Dr. Strand is a current or past member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, American Medical Association, the Arizona Medical Association, the Maricopa County Medical Society, the Phoenix Radiology Society, the Phoenix Ultrasound Society, the Radiology Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the World Congress on Motor Sports Medicine and USA Track and Field.Dr. Strand is a life member of the Fiesta Bowl committee and has been active with Special Olympics International.
