Steve Strachan is responsible for the sales of Contact Centre and Unified Communications solutions for both Enterprises and Service Providers in Cisco Systems Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Steve joined Cisco from Geotel where he was Vice President of Operations for EMEA.While at Geotel Steve rapidly built up the organisation in EMEA into a multi million dollar business establishing strong strategic partnerships with many of the key service providers in the region.Prior to joining Geotel Steve was Sr VP, South European Operations for Parametic Technology, a position that he moved to from the US.

Steve currently lives in Virginia Water, UK, with his wife and two children and is still a keen sportsman following his time as a Professional athlete in the US.

Steve is responsible for North America sales operations for BladeLogic.Leveraging his highly successful background in sales and sales management, Steve has helped propel BladeLogic into its leadership position by transforming how systems management software is sold and building one of the strongest software sales organizations in the industry today.Previously, Steve served as VP of European Operations at GeoTel Communications, a leading provider of call routing software that was acquired by Cisco Systems in June, 1999.As VP of European Operations for GeoTel and later as Cisco's European Operations Director, Steve recruited, trained and developed an 80 person team of managers, application engineers and sales representatives and grew software revenues from $1.5M in 1998 to $50M in 2001.

Steve began his sales career with Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), a leading provider of mechanical design automation technology.At PTC, Steve was regularly promoted to positions of increasing responsibility in the US and in Europe as the company's revenue grew from $98M in 1992 to $1.05B in 1998.Steve finished fiscal 1998 with over $100M of revenue responsibility as PTC's Sector Vice President, Southern Europe, where he led a highly productive software sales organization of over 300 people including 41 sales managers, 132 quota carrying sales representatives and 125 technical and administrative personnel.Steve holds a BS in Finance from Boston College.
