    A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Geoffrey Stone earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, followed by his Master of Music degree and Artist's Diploma at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory. While in Ohio, he performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra on several occasions, as well as the Dayton Philharmonic, Cleveland Pops, Lexington Philharmonic and Springfield Symphony. He has held positions with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra and as Principal Bass of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.

    Mr. Stone has been involved with several music festivals. He performed in the Aspen Music Festival's Festival Orchestra from 2001-2003, as well as performing at Scotia Fest in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Cincinnati's Riverbend Festival with the Cincinnati Pops, and at the Grandin Festival at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory. Most recently, Mr. Stone appeared at the 2006 Hawaii Contrabass Festival, performing duets with fellow Honolulu Symphony double bassist John Gallagher.
