WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Aileen R. Hess Stine, 93, of 220 Harrison Ave., died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at her home.
Born April 19, 1910, near Wayne Heights, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Elsie Gardenhour Hess.
She attended Quincy Township schools.
She worked as a clerk at McCrory's Department store in Waynesboro until retiring in 1973 after nearly 20 years.
She was a member of Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro, Ladies Aide and Women's Missionary Society and taught Sunday school.
She was a member of Zullinger Homemakers, National AARP, volunteered at Piney Mountain Nursing Home, and was a former member of North Chapter AARP.
