Rebecca Stern grew up in Boise, Idaho, under the influence of two violinist parents.She began studying violin with her father when she was 3.She holds a bachelor's degree from the Eastman School of Music and a master's degree from the University of Miami.

Becky has been a member of the FWSO since 1994.Prior to joining the FWSO, she performed with the New World Symphony.

Her extra-musical interests include gardening, dancing, cooking, reading and taking care of her cats.Becky enjoys rock climbing and mountain biking in the company of her fiancé, Stephen Nold.
