I've got one uh, large drywall contractor that did, uses the ODCB for his uh, he exports his inventory, imports his inventory into an estimating system that he created in Excel. He then creates pull lists and creates POs right out of that ODCB and integrates everything right back into ComputerEase seamlessly.

We have uh, a large uh, residential heating and cooling contractor uh, that's probably using the pull list to, the, the, the most, if you will. Before his task was trying to determine what went into a job. He has a rough and a set and a finish phase and it was difficult for him to pull items out of his inventory and then post them into the computer and make that a seamless process. And he'll process 300 to 400 jobs a month. ComputerEase has the ability for us to generate a pull list in Excel or even inside of ComputerEase now, and then the client basically just imports that pull list, he uses Excel, he pulls that pull list out of Excel, it instantly creates a purchase order, if you will, and at that point he gives it to his warehouse person. The warehouse person then looks to see if he's got that stuff in stock. If he's got the inventory in stock, he just hits pull or fulfill the pull list.

Whether, as you mentioned, whether they're on ComputerEase or they're on QuickBooks or whatever software they're using, the most important aspect to any contractor is the work in progress. It's the lifeblood, it's where cash flow starts, it's where profitability starts, it's where cash flow ends. Uh, and if a contractor cannot gather information uh, seamlessly and with little effort, he's not going to be able to manage that job (project management) and know if the uh, for example, in a cement contractor, he's not going to know if his flatwork phase is over budget or under budget until that budget and that phase is complete. If he doesn't know that he's over budget until he's complete, then he's going to be out of luck. You know, the change order times may be gone, he can't issue a change order.

We have a small general contractor, for example, this was probably three years ago, he came to the office, uh, had met with three different CPA's, was interviewing to see who he wanted to use as his consultant.Uh, we made the recommendation at that point, based upon our interview with him uh, that QuickBooks was not going to work.He was doing too much AIA billing, prevailing wage and uh, retention issues inside his company that we basically said, if you're going to get started, you might as well use a system that can handle what you need and we recommended ComputerEase. And that's why he went with us, we were the only firm that uh, addressed his needs I guess and, and pushed him and advised him to use a ComputerEase type of software.
