Horst Stenger is married and a very proud father of a three years old son.

Working with organizational leaders, his main priority is balancing the development of humanity and increasing affectivity in work processes within organizations.Dr. Stenger focuses on the development of understanding the requirements of the professional role of people who are responsible for leading in organizations.His broad stance ranging from the underlying convictions about social reality a person uses to shape and guide his behavior up to the environmental conditions of leading processes and structures in complex social systems.In the perspective of Dr. Stenger, the coaching process is based on reflection upon personality and behavior in the professional context.The goals of coaching are to enhance social competences, a deeper understanding of psychological and social processes and structures in order to resolve solve conflicts and organizing team processes for maximum results.

Dr. Stenger started his career as a social science researcher at the Federal Institute for Occupational Education (Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung) 1979 in Berlin, followed by jobs at the universities of Hagen, Berlin and Bremen (Fernuniversität Hagen, Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Bremen) where he did research projects and taught students.In 1992, he became a Science Manager, first in a large federal project that integrated East German scientists of the former Academy of Science of the GDR into the science system of the unified Germany.In 1994, he became a manager in the newly founded Academy of Science in Berlin and Brandenburg (Berlin-Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften) where he was responsible of managing and coordinating an interdisciplinary research group titled The Challenge of Otherness (Die Herausforderung durch das Fremde).

Toward the end of the nineties, he decided to enlarge his profile and to professionalize his knowledge about organizational development and change processes and had a one-year intensive training in consulting people in organizations.

Since 2000, he has been working as a coach, facilitator and consultant for profit and non-profit organizations, focused on themes in the field of leadership and coaching leaders on different hierarchical levels from top to bottom in the following branches: health care, media, energy supply, biotechnology.He is a natural coach with a flair for passing knowledge along in a manner that is fully engaging.

Languages: Dr. Horst Stenger works in German and has a basic command of conversational English and French.
