Kama is the Executive Director of the Lillooet Friendship Centre Society located within the St'at'imc Territory in British Columbia.
Of Tsalagi and Ojibway decent, Kama was born in Washington State and moved to British Columbia when she was 10 years old.
She has been involved in the Friendship Centre movement for over 15 years and has been recognized and acknowledged as a leader within the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community at a local and provincial level.
Kama is dedicated to capacity development, social change and the grass roots movement.
In recognition of her passion, commitment, and work, Kama was nominated for the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize.
