    In court papers, Samsung said Rambus aided and abetted former Samsung lawyer Neil Steinberg in allegedly breaching fiduciary duties in 1998, when he was working for Rambus but remained on Samsung's payroll.

    Steinberg is not a defendant in the lawsuit.

    Samsung said Rambus knew Steinberg was still working at Samsung when it hired him to advise it on asserting its patents against chip makers.

    Steinberg left Samsung in August 1998.Samsung wants the Delaware court to prohibit Rambus from using patents that predate Steinberg's departure from Samsung against his former employer.
