Carol Steichen, CIA, CISAISACA Sacramento Chapter
Carol's involvement with information technology began when she served an 11-year stint as Information Systems Manager for one of Sacramento's five largest law firms.After receiving her Bachelors of Science Degree in Accountancy from CSU Sacramento, Carol transitioned to the public sector.Her work there has focused mainly on large systems development projects and information systems audits.Carol currently performs business and systems analysis in the newly-formed Management Analysis Unit of the California Public Employees Retirement System.
Carol is active in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and is certified as both an internal and information systems auditor.She is currently serving her second term as President of ISACA's Sacramento Chapter.
