It all started when Deb Stehlin, pastor at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Apple Valley, started thinking about what the next church in Dakota County should be like.And she couldn't stop thinking about it.Pretty soon, other people were telling her that if you can't stop thinking about something, it's probably a call from God.Duh! :) So, Shepherd of the Valley sent her out with a bunch of families and individuals to start something new in Farmington.

Pastor Deb Stehlin came to SOTV as an intern in 2001 and was ordained in 2003.She grew up on the Iron Range in northern Minnesota and graduated from Augsburg College.She began her career in corporate public relations, then began a consulting business before her call to ministry.Pastor Deb is married to Neil, a registered nurse at Fairview Southdale Hospital.They have two teenagers, Allie and Zak, of whom they are very proud.Watch for Deb and Neil around Apple Valley as they cheer their kids on at ball games and music and theatre events.For fun, she studies voice and secretly wishes that "American Idol" had a category for classical sopranos.
