Steffens brings significant security industry experience to GraniteEdge Networks and a solid reputation within the network security community.    Most recently Steffens was director of product management for Sourcefire, Inc, managing Snort®, the open source technology that has become the de facto standard for intrusion detection and prevention, managing all product marketing and product management initiatives. Prior to Sourcefire, Steffens served as senior product manager for NFR Security where she developed and executed a global marketing plan that helped double corporate revenue in one year. Before joining NFR Security, Steffens served as the senior marketing manager for Ubizen, a Cybertrust Holdings company.
   
   Steffens holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mary Washington University.
