Agnieszka Stefanowicz-Baranska , a partner in the firm's Warsaw office , concentrates on competition law.She has extensive experience in , inter alia , merger control proceedings ; advising clients on the anti-trust aspects of M&A and commercial agreements ; representing undertakings during inspections by the competition authorities ; conducting internal anti-trust audits of companies' operations and anti-trust awareness educational programs for employees ; as well as advising clients in connection with unfair competition law issues.
Ms. Stefanowicz-Baranska's second area of specialization is in advising clients in the pharmaceutical and foodstuff manufacturing and distribution sectors in connection with their activities in Poland.In addition , Ms. Stefanowicz-Baranska advises both Polish and foreign companies in the areas of corporate , contract and tort law.
Ms. Stefanowicz-Baranska graduated from Warsaw University , Faculty of Law and Administration ( Master of Law , summa cum laude , 1993 ) , and King's College , University of London ( Postgraduate Diploma in EC Competition Law , 1999 ).She was admitted as a legal adviser in Poland in 1997.She is a member of the International Bar Association , the DPJV , the European Competition Lawyers' Forum , and the Polish Competition Law Society.Ms. Stefanowicz-Baranska speaks Polish , English , and German.
