Robert M. Steen Sr.
CHESAPEAKE -- Robert M. Steen Sr., 89, passed away Nov. 15, 2002 at Chesapeake Health Care.
A native of Norfolk, Mr. Steen retired from the the Ford Motor Company Norfolk Plant's paint department after 31 years of service. He was a member of Glad Tidings Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Vivian L. Steen and three daughters, Gloria A. Davis and her husband, Joe, of Windsor, Va., Marian M. Pugh and her husband, Barry, of Chesapeake and Denise L. Weis of Martinez, Calif. He is also survived by a son, Robert M. Steen Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Kennewick, Wash.; five grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Jeff, Rose and Julia; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Regan.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jerry Qualls officiating. The family will receive friends at Glad Tidings Church, 301 S. Newtown Road, Norfolk, Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
