William S. Stancil
William S. Stancil has had a rich and varied legal career.
He began his career a Reginald Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellow with the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County, New York.
From there, he went to the Prisoner Litigation Unit of the New York State Department of Law.
When he returned to his hometown, Washington, D.C., he served as a Law Instructor and Director of a Paralegal Training Program for migrant farm workers, Director of an Academic Support Program for first year law students at Antioch School of Law, a Hearing Examiner at the Bureau of Traffic Adjudication and an Administrative Law Judge with the DCRA Office of Adjudication.
He was also the Assistant Director of the local Business Development Department of the District of Columbia government.
Attorney Stancil is a graduate of the D.C. Public Schools, the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor campus and New York University School of Law.
He is admitted to the bars for the District of Columbia and U.S. Supreme Court.
He is currently serving as the Interim Director of Legal Operations at Neighborhood Legal Services Program.
