New Business: Debrief the Big Draw: Steve Stancil expressed his gratitude to Dolores Coe and Bruce Marsh for all of their valiant efforts on this event.

Steve asked if we should approach the Brandon Arts council. He feels we can do this again if our volunteers were multiplied and felt the communication was good within the group, but sometimes got criss crossed.

Steve: Also likes having free access to some events and charging for others.

Plein Air Art Festival: Steve has sent an e-mail to Bob Mohr for a report on the Plein Air Festival, but has yet to receive a response.

Insurance: Steve is to meet with Lou on Sept. 10 @ 10:00am to set up a policy for 1 year that will include 8 meetings and events.

Steve suggested we spread our schedule out more so that everything isn't happening at the same time.

Art asked Steve if the college would be building a theatre.

Steve answered the college is willing to house and build around one if the community does it, but that would be in the last phase about 10 years out.

STEVE STANCIL, President

Steve Stancil is currently the Dean of Student Services with Hillsborough Community College South Shore Center. He has been with Hillsborough Community College for four years and has been actively involved with the development of the New South Shore Campus. He is a nine year resident of Ruskin and has been involved with the South Shore area associations such as; the SouthShore Arts Council, South Shore Coalition, Friends of the Library and the South Shore Round Table. Steve taught the Visual Arts for Snead State Community College for 13 years prior to returning to Florida and continues to teach as often as possible. He has a B.A. Education and Fine Arts from the University of South Florida and a M.Ed. Secondary Education from the University of Montevallo. Steve is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at USF.
