Marshall Day of Ball Ground, Don Howard of Canton and Steve Stancil of Canton, Reinhardt Class of 1973, this month began their tenure of the Waleska college's board.

onny Perdue, Stancil has served as the state property officer since February 2008.
Prior to this appointment, he served as executive director of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority.
Stancil was previously a real estate broker at Century 21 Max Stancil Realty Company, which he co-owns with this father.
In 2002, he was the Republican nominee for lieutenant governor, an honor he accepted after having served for 13 years in the state House of Representatives.
During his time in the House, Stancil was elected House Republican Leader by his colleagues and was awarded the "Legislative Service Award" on three different occasions by the Georgia Municipal Association and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia.
Stancil is chairman of the Georgia Land Conservation Council and a member of the MARTA Board of Directors; State Board of Equalization, State Facilities Energy Council and Sapelo Island Heritage Authority.
He serves on the Cherokee Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors and Reinhardt College Ambassadors.
He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, leaving as staff sergeant in 1977.
Stancil earned an associate of arts degree from Reinhardt and a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Georgia.
He and his wife, Cristal, have three sons and attend Canton First United Methodist Church.
