    Mr. Stancil has over 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, most recently as Vice President of North America Exploration for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where he was responsible for all onshore exploration activity and portfolio management.

    Prior to that, Mr. Stancil held various positions within Anadarko including General Manager and Senior Vice President of Exploration & Production, Anadarko E&P USA, Inc., where he was responsible for the Eastern Gulf Coast area. Over his career, he led successful exploration and development efforts in active plays throughout the United States with particular focus in the Gulf Coast area. In his role as Chief Geologist, Mr. Stancil actively recruited college graduate geologists and geophysicists.

    Mr. Stancil received his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Campbell University in 1975. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and has served as Vice Chairman of the Resource Evaluation Committee, Houston Geological Society, and Lafayette Geological Society. While serving on the 2002-2003 National Petroleum Council Natural Gas Study for the Bush administration, Stancil led the unconventional resource assessment for natural gas in North America as a member of its Supply Task Group.

    Bob Stancil is Vice President for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, one of the world's largest independent exploration and production companies.U.S. operations are in Texas, Louisiana, the Mid-Continent and Western states, Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.Internationally, it is producing in Canada, Algeria and Qatar and exploring in several other countries.

    Mr. Stancil joined Anadarko in 1981 and has held management positions of increasing responsibility throughout the company.In 1998, he was named Project Manager, Exploration Offshore Gulf of Mexico, and was named Project Manager, East Texas/Louisiana in 2000.In 2001, he was promoted to Manager, Basin Studies and named Chief Geologist in September 2002.Bob was most recently General Manager for the Eastern Gulf Coast onshore division and named Vice President North America Exploration in August 2006.

    Prior to joining Anadarko, Mr. Stancil was employed as a geologist with Exxon Company, USA.

    He is a graduate of Campbell College where he earned a BS in Geology in 1975.
