Mr. Lisa Stackhouse

Mr. Stackhouse taught health , science and physical education in 1946 in the Columbus Grove school system.He also coached football , basketball and baseball.He later became principal and superintendent of Columbus Grove School.He retired as Putnam County Superintendent of Schools , from 1958 to 1980.

He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Force veteran.He held life memberships in the Veterans of Foreign Wars , Ohio Education Association and the National Education Association.He was a member of the State Teachers Retirement System.

Mr. Stackhouse was a Hall of Fame inductee at Ohio Northern University , Ada.He graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1946 with a degree in education.He received his master's degree from Columbia University , New York , in 1949.He worked toward his doctoral degree at Bowling Green State University.

Services were held May 15 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home , Ada , with his son , Michael Stackhouse leading the service.Burial was in Candler Cemetery , Ada.Graveside military services were conducted by the Ada VFW Post 9381 of Ada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the scholarship fund for the grandchildren.
