Jim Squires received a Special Services Award from the district for his many years of service promoting conservation efforts in the county and throughout the state.Squires was the District Conservationist for Clinton County for 13 years before accepting a promotion to the state conservation office.He is a member of the board of directors for the Clinton Conservation District and is active with the Conservation District on Stony Creek project.Before coming to Clinton County, Squires was a soil conservationist for Oceana County and the Crawford-Roscommon district.He worked as a civil engineering technician with the Watershed and River Basing Planning Staff for the Soil Conservation Service and was a soil conservation service technician in Kent County.
