    Instead, the Department of Mental Health purchases services from CIP and is reimbursed by the feds through the Medicaid Waiver program.

    Sharon Spurlock, Director of Family Supports & Quality, has worked in the field of services to people with developmental disabilities since 1982. She has worked in the St. Louis Arc's Community Integration programs for the past 19 years and has also worked as a supported employment manager and residential program supervisor. Sharon received a B.A. degree in psychology from Saint Louis University with a minor in Special Education, holds several teaching certifications, and is a co-founder of the St. Louis Region's Day Program Association. Sharon's passion is helping people with disabilities and their families find great supports in the community. She took her current job directing St. Louis Arc's quality enhancement efforts and family support services in 2008.
