Haley, EMT, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Boston EMS Special Operations Division Supervisor; John F. Bilotas, NREMT-P, Hazardous Materials Technician and Boston MMRS Coordinator; and Kevin Spellman, EMT, Hazardous Materials Technician and BEMS Special Operations Division staff member.

The DelValle Institute for Emergency Preparedness has assembled an experienced team of instructors, including: Kathryn Brinsfield , MD, FACEP, an attending physician at Boston Medical Center, Medical Director of Boston MMRS, Associate Medical Director and Director of Research, Training, and Quality Improvement at Boston EMS, and an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Boston University; Sophia Dyer, MD, FACEP, a toxicologist, Hazardous Materials Technician, attending physician at Boston Medical Center, Assistant Medical Director of Boston EMS, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University; Captain Robert Y. Haley , EMT, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Boston EMS Special Operations Supervisor; John F. Bilotas, NREMT-P, Hazardous Materials Technician; and Kevin T. Spellman, EMT, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Boston EMS Special Operations staff member.

KEVIN T. SPELLMAN, EMT, EMT Spellman has been an Emergency Medical Technician for fifteen years, spending the last eight as a Boston EMS staff member.He holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine/Cardiovascular Health from Northeastern University, and is a Class A licensed driver with Hazardous Materials Endorsements.EMT Spellman is a member of Boston EMS' Special Operations Division, and has principal responsibility for maintaining all support equipment and training supplies in a readiness-to-respond condition.He is a Hazardous Materials Specialist and instructor with a focus on Weapons of Mass Destruction.EMT Spellman is also a certified Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Rescue Diver, and High Incident Rescue Technician.He has taught Physical Training, Hazardous Materials, and training for HAZMAT Drivers.EMT Spellman has served as a member of the National Disaster Medical Assistance Team [DMAT], and International Medical/Surgical Response Team [IMSURT].He is currently a Massachusetts State Certified Paramedic, ACLS Instructor, PALS, and BTLS instructor.
