Kerry SpellmanDevelopment CoordinatorMultiple Myeloma Research FoundationKerry Spellman joined the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation as a Development Coordinator in November 2003.Kerry is responsible for the annual MMRF Friends for Life Fall Gala as well as the MMRF Race for Research 5K Walk/Run in New Canaan and Cleveland.
Kerry's non-profit work began with a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps where she worked as a mental health counselor at the Evergreen Counseling Center in Hoquiam, Washington.After a year of volunteer service, Kerry moved to Boston where she spent three years in Financial Services as a Senior Associate at State Street Research and Management where she was involved in staff management, corporate training, operations management, marketing, and sales.
Kerry's experience in event planning began in Boston where she coordinated many social events.While attending business school, Kerry further developed her event and fundraising experience as class social coordinator and as the vice president and fundraising director for the school rugby club.
Originally from New Canaan, Kerry earned her BA in Human Development and Psychology at Boston College, her Certificate of Specialized Studies in Business Administration at the Harvard University - Graduate Extension School, and her MBA at the University College Dublin, Smurfit Business School, in Dublin, Ireland.Kerry now resides in New Canaan and remains involved in charity work through the Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport and the Junior League of Norwalk-Stamford.
