Timothy is a filmmaker who has made two feature and sixteen short films that have screened in over sixty film festivals, released on DVD and theatrically in USA, Canada, UK, NZ, UK, Germany, France, Ireland and Korea.He was worked as an actor since childhood, most recently with an on going role on the ABC's legal/medical series "MDA" and writer and co-host on Foxtel.His past photographic work has been consistently unusual by conventional standards, and has been published in magazines and books.

In 2003, three of his short films were released on DVD as part of a DVD titled "Out Wild" In 2004, Spanos wrote, directed and produced his first feature film Prisoner Queen, based on chapters of his novel Mindless Music & Mirrorballs . Prisoner Queen screened in New Zealand, UK, Canada, USA and Ireland.

Spanos worked as the head of the video department at Melbourne's Photographic Imaging College for 4 years and then as a film lecturer at The Foostcray College Film School.
