    Peter R. Spanos, a partner with the law firm Burr & Forman, will examine reasons for the explosive growth of mold cases in recent years and offer practical suggestions on how to keep from becoming entangled in a mold lawsuit.

    "Mold issues have always been part of any construction defect litigation practice, but not in the numbers we see now," Spanos said in a news release from Aerias."The differences are the claims and huge awards for personal injury, which is remarkable given that presently there is no definitive scientific evidence to prove that mold causes the serious illnesses that plaintiffs allege."
