  Company executive vice president Michael Spanos has unveiled plans for the development of a $2 billion "environmentally and economically sustainable" community that will generate 12,000 jobs and over $15 million in annual revenue for Stockton, CA.

  Spanos has told city fathers the project will create a permanent Green Belt, protect and enhance Stockton's wetlands, attract new businesses, add a new community hospital, reduce reliance on autos and is projected to reduce carbon emissions by at least 50% compared to typical developments,

  Born in Stockton, California in 1959, he attended Lincoln High School and graduated from the University of the Pacific, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. In 1989, Michael was appointed to the Board of Regents at the University of the Pacific, where he served for five years. He has also served as a trustee on the Board of Dameron Hospital where he represented his family's interest in quality health services. Michael continues to contribute both his time and resources to the development of several projects involving youth sports and education. He and his wife, Helen, reside with their five children in Stockton, California.
