Based on his practical experience, Steven will outline the importance of setting clear objectives and a realistic timeline during the initial planning phase of any venture.Issues such as shared values, the use of time, cultural differences, partner intimacy, knowing what is important, and choosing the preferred forms of overseas ventures will be discussed.
Sufficient time will be left for a question and answer session.
About Steven Spalding, Director of Organisational Development, AVEBE UA, Netherlands
Steven began his career after completing his BSc (Hons) Food Science degree at The University of Nottingham in 1974, as a graduate trainee production manager at United Biscuits.A year later, he became Technical Sales Manager at Tunnel AVEBE Starches Ltd, and has since risen to a number of key roles with the AVEBE group in the Asia-Pacific region, South America and Europe.
Now based at AVEBE UA in the Netherlands, Steven is Director of Organisational Development for a co-operative organisation owned by more than 4,000 European potato farmers, producing and marketing starch and related products for industrial use.
