James Ray Spahn comes to us from the state of California.Spending seven summers working on his Uncle's ranch in Colorado, his first photograph was captured from the back of a horse at the early age of thirteen.The vastness of the country he rode and worked lends to his personal vision.

James began his Professional Photography carreer in California and then moved to Austin Texas where he perfected his craft working for some of the top Advertising, Architectural and High Tech Firms in the state.Now Based out of Crested Butte, Colorado James travels around the country shooting for such clients as Tommy Hilfiger, Delta Airlines, The Austin Magazine, Log Home Living, Cowboys & Indians, Nikon, and Architectural Digest to name a few.James still finds time to Photograph his favorite subjects "People".Since moving back to the Crested Butte area, James has found an interest in his unique vision and style through the people that have selected Crested Butte as their place to exchange wedding vows.His command of light and Black & White film for Editorial clients has found its way into the wedding albums of those who want their wedding day to last a lifetime that is not only unique, but timeless.
