    Donat Spahn, MD, FRCA, is Professor and Chairman of the Institute of Anaesthesiology at the University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.He received his medical training at the University of Zurich and completed specialty training in Anaesthesiology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.From 2001 to 2006, he was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anaesthesiology at the University Hospital of Lausanne, Switzerland.
