There's no denying that when Ron and Isabel Spagnardi launched Modern Drummer magazine they created a culture for drummers.Twenty-six years on the magazine remains the ‘bible' for drummers who love drumming.And the Modern Drummer Festival celebrates that fact annually with two days of performances by the world's greatest players.Fans from around the world make the trek to Upper Montclair State University, just a few miles from Modern Drummer's offices, and spend two days celebrating the fact that when it comes to sharing the fun of playing, drummers do it best.As usual, the show was ‘sold out', with a long line of ticket holders lining the sidewalks in anticipation of the weekend of a lifetime.
