   John M. Southern is a Partner of Tatum CFO Partners, LLP. He possesses over twenty years of broad business experience, both in financial and operational roles in public and private companies. He has extensive experience in healthcare with hospitals, physician practices, managed care, home health and compliance reporting and risk assessment. Mr. Southern also has experience with rapid growth companies, turnaround situations, startups and international operations. His areas of expertise include financial reporting; mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; internal audit; accounts receivable management; budgeting and forecasting; and business development.
   
   Prior to joining Tatum CFO, Mr. Southern was Chief Financial Officer of Integrity Services, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in the development and implementation of corporate compliance programs for healthcare providers. He not only established the financial and administrative functions of the company, but also actively recruited new clients and assisted clients in their risk assessment and business conduct audit process.
   
   Prior to Integrity Services, Mr. Southern was a co-founder and VP of Finance & Administration for Echelon Heath, Inc., a startup, physician practice management company. He participated in the development of the company's business plan and financial projections; established the company's financial and administrative functions, including employee benefits; lead and coordinated the acquisition efforts of the acquired practices, including due diligence, negotiations and document preparation; and created efficiencies, in those practices acquired, in the areas of employee benefits, business office, cash flow, managed care contracting and financial and operational reporting.
   
   As Vice President, Controller of Operations for Housecall Medical Resources, Inc., a public $180+ million home health company, Mr. Southern directed the financial and business office operations of the five operating divisions. He increased company profits through a revamping of the company's purchasing system which included personnel consolidation, renegotiations of vendor contracts, and implementation of inventory control procedures. He also actively worked with Operations VPs in identifying and forecasting revenue enhancements and cost reductions and was instrumental in restoring profitability to one operating unit by implementing controls over disbursements, billing and personnel staffing; renegotiations of certain vendor contracts; and developing a case management system for patients.
   
   Prior to Housecall, Mr. Southern was Senior Vice President of Development for Vendell Healthcare, Inc., a hospital services company. He was responsible for developing and implementing the company's growth strategies through the acquisition of hospitals, physician practices and unit management contracts. In two years, the company's revenues doubled, an increase of $35 million, due to his efforts. Additionally, he was given operational responsibility for a non-performing business unit of physician practices and created and licensed a utilization review company, which obtained full risk capitation contracts and formed strategic alliances, and restored profitability to the business unit.
   
   Prior to Vendell, Mr. Southern held various financial and operational management positions with Charter Medical Corporation, a public $850+ million hospital services and management company. His areas of responsibility there included internal audit; monthly reporting and annual budgeting for all hospital divisions; mergers and acquisitions; divestiture of selected operating units during the company's financial restructuring, which raised $35 million cash; and hospital financial division management and oversight.
   
   Mr. Southern was also an Audit Manager with Dart & Kraft, Inc., a public multi national, consumer products sales and manufacturing company. He had responsibility for audit and special project assignments over domestic and foreign units totaling $900+ million in revenues. He was also an Audit Senior with Peat Marwick Mitchell (KPMG).
   
   Mr. Southern holds a B.A. and a Masters in Accountancy from the University of Georgia. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
