   Sheriff Larry L. Southerland has over 27 years of law enforcement experience with the Isanti County Sheriff's Office. He was hired as a deputy sheriff in 1971 and was promoted to investigator. He was elected sheriff in 1990 and was re-elected in 1994 and again in 1998. Sheriff Southerland has a commitment to community-based policing and is active in countless community events. His interests include horses and classic automobiles. He lives in Springvale Township and is a life-long resident of Isanti County and is a member of the Cambridge Lutheran Church.

   On Friday, September 7th, the 17th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament was hosted by SYP Board Member Larry Southerland at the Purple Hawk Country Club.Larry is a former Isanti County Sheriff and the current Chair of the Isanti County Commissioners.Assisting Larry were members of the Grandy Lions Club.
