CHESAPEAKE -- Margaret S. Southall of the 1700 block of Breezy Pines Court, died Nov. 14, 2002 in Maryview Medical Center, Portsmouth.She was born in Washington, D.C.A teacher in the Chesapeake Public School System, she retired after 33 years of service.She was also the owner and operator of In His Service Janitorial Cleaning Service.She was a member of World Harvest Worship Center in Norfolk and was chairperson of the Education Ministry, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Chesapeake Chapter of Pinochle Bugs Social & Civic Club and National Tots & Teens, and was coordinator for Special Olympics.She received her master of religious education degree from Virginia University of Lynchburg, School of Religion, Virginia Seminary.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynnette M. (Sebastian) Williams of Chesapeake; a son, Major Linwood M. Southall Jr., U.S. Army, and Charles Knight of Portsmouth, whom she raised as a son; a brother, Bobby Lawrence of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Dorshae Montague and Deja Williams, both of Chesapeake; her former husband, Linwood M. Southall Sr. of Chesapeake; an aunt, Lozetta Mobley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
