In another life, Tom might have been a standup comic or a drummer. As it is, he's a funny, musical CPA specializing in tax and litigation support services, working closely with legal teams to quantify economic damages in cases ranging from divorce to business dissolution. In times like those, clients truly appreciate his sense of humor almost as much as his expertise.

Expertise That Counts Tom has been a Member with LeMaster Daniels since 2005 when he joined his own Boise-based practice with ours. He has nearly three decades of experience in accounting. Tom is certified in financial forensics (CFF) and is qualified to critically evaluate financial records related to bankruptcy and insolvency, economic damages, family law, fraud prevention and detection, financial statement misrepresentation, and valuations

Proven Results Tom has assisted numerous types of professional services firms with tax, business, and litigation matters. He has particular experience with financial issues surrounding divorce, breach of contract, and business interruption.

Activities Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Idaho Society of CPAs, and Boise Estate Planning Council. He serves on the Idaho State Bar Client Assistance Fund Committee, Idaho Golf Association Board of Directors, and the LeMaster Daniels Group Executive Board. Tom belongs to the Sunrise Rotary and Noon Optimist clubs.

South Johnson & Co. was founded in 1987 by Tom South and David Johnson and has grown to 19 employees with a practice focused on tax and assurance services.
