FALL RIVER -- Jaime "Chumeca" Sousa, 56, of North Main Street, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at home. He was the husband of Maria Conceicao (Cabral-Viveiros) Sousa. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of Maria (Camara) Sousa of Fall River and the late Antonio Sousa, he was a resident of Fall River for 28 years. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a construction laborer in Boston for 15 years. Mr. Sousa was a previous owner and member of the Acoreana Club. He was very involved in the Portuguese community where he was known for his singing career that followed him from Sao Miguel. He donated his time singing the Folia do Espirito Santo from house to house making people laugh and cry.
