   Mrs Elizabeth Soulsby has been appointed as a non-executive director for a four year period by the NHS Appointments Commission. She replaces Melanie Rycroft who left the Trust board at the end of December 2005.

   Elizabeth's professional background is in education and human resources. She originally trained as a teacher and worked as a teacher/social worker before joining HM Inspectorate of Schools. Following a career change to human resources she worked as Director of Human Resources for Jones Lang LaSalle, an international corporate real estate company before becoming their European HR Director.
   
   Elizabeth lives in Alfriston working, as a freelance HR consultant, on organisational reviews and performance management systems for a range of organisations. She has been a non-executive director at the Surrey and Sussex Strategic Health Authority since November 2003. She is currently a member of the Sussex Advisory Sub-Committee on Justices of the Peace and vice-chair of governors at Seaford Head Community College. Elizabeth lists her hobbies as travel, music, reading and cookery.

   Elizabeth Soulsby has been appointed as a non-executive director for Surrey and Sussex Strategic Health Authority. The appointment is for four years with effect from 1 November 2003.
   
   Elizabeth was born in Derry, Northern Ireland. Her background is in education and human resources.
