Rohit Sood

Rohit Sood is a resident of Hoboken, NJ.He has completed several marathons across the US and Canada.He has organized this effort with a few friends to raise funds for a few causes.He is a member of the New York Road Runners Club and the Chicago Area Runners Association.THE RACEAn expedition classic - the Marathon des Sables("Marathon of the Sands" http://www.sandmarathon.com/) - is known as the Toughest Footrace on Earth.Six hundred competitors from about 30 countries on six continents take part in this annual event now in its 18th year.Men and women will traverse nearly 150 miles across the Sahara Desert of Morocco over seven days while carrying all their food and gear.Only a ration of nine liters of water and an open-sided Berber tent are provided daily to competitors.
