Dr. Brijendra Sood popularly know as Brij Sood was born in India, grew up in Kenya and studied medicine in England.  After graduation he returned to Kenya where he worked for Her Majesty's Overseas Medical Service from 1956 to 1964. He emigrated to Canada in 1964 and has been in practice in Calgary, Alberta since 1967.   He is married to Narindar and they have three children, eldest is Rupa who is a business executive. Veena and Manoj are both actors and well known in their fields  Dr Sood plays golf and is a Master Magician. He is a Medical Examiner for Immigration Canada, Immigration Australia and Consultant to Alberta Govt.  He has received innumerable honours; Alberta Achievement Award, Commander of The Order of St John, The Order of Canada,  Physicians of the Century Award, Immigrant of Distinction, Citation from The Senate of Canada, Presidential Citation from International Brotherhood of Magicians.
