I organized the CPR course to be taught by Mr. Peter Sommer of Asia Medical Services Ltd last year in August 2004 for most of the instructors on my team which is a compulsory and vital part of our training.

Not only did Mr. Sommer teach the material in an easy to understand and friendly manner which we all appreciated, we all learnt more in questions and answers session and a bonus knowledge gained from a set up scenario which was an excellent way to learn from our own mistakes. The short course was so enjoyable that even the written test at the end was done at no pressure at all.

There is no match anywhere in Hong Kong to Mr. Sommer's quality teaching and I am definitely looking forward in attending other courses such as First Aid.

Due to the large amount of instructors attending the CPR course, we are very glad that Mr. Sommer could arrange to teach the course at our gym in the comfort of our studio.

Peter Sommer Director - Training Division

Peter Sommer is a British trained nurse and heads the training division. Prior to Asia Medical Services Ltd Peter had over 10 years of experience in a variety of remote sites in China and across Asia. His main responsibilties were the recruitment and training of overseas nurses, Filipino medics and doctors for remote site clinics, including evacuation of ill or injured patients.

Peter has made a point of making all of our courses we offer very "hands on" with lots of practical content, role play with fake blood and running emergency scenarios. Peter is very much a believer that learning has to be fun.

Managing Director Peter Sommer has over 15 years experience as a healthcare professional (R.N.) and is a skilled teacher with first-hand knowledge of life-saving situations.Peter trained and worked in London, England before working in Australia.

In 1994, Peter arrived in Hong Kong and worked for a large medical assistance company taking him to a variety of remote sites in China and across Asia.His main responsibilities were the recruitment and training of overseas nurses, Filipino medics and doctors for remote site clinics, including evacuation and transportation of ill or injured patients.

In 1998, Peter had the privilege of running a recruitment road show in north China for Chinese national doctors for placing in remote land based and offshore clinics.He was responsible for implementing and overseeing the training programme to introduce mainland doctors to procedures in western First Aid and First Responder Care.
