Mitzi was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas. Since moving to Jonesborough in 2001, she has been involved in the Tuesday Garden Club, Tree and Townscape Committee, and various volunteer organizations. She and her husband are currently renovating an historic home in Dowtown Jonesborough.
