The bride is the daughter of Joanne and Art Sobel of Los Altos Hills.She graduated from Los Altos High School and earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from the University of California at Davis.She is employed as a pet training instructor.

The groom is the son of Cliff and the late Bunny Brown of Quincy.He graduated from Quincy High School and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Davis.He is employed as a civil engineer by Stantec Consulting, Inc., Sacramento.

Following a honeymoon in Antigua, the couple now live in Sacramento.
