Smith plans on touring every home in theparade this year.However, part of her tour already began months ago with the blueprints.Smith uses the designs and elevations on the blueprints to draw illustrations for each home on the parade list.

"I've always been interested in this type of work," says Smith, who has been providing the architectural portraits for 17 years."I usually put about three hours in each drawing -- sometimes more."

Approved a three-month step increase for Joyce Smith, custodian.
