Ms. Smith joined the staff of Newnan Regional Radiation Therapy Center in Newnan, Georgia as a Nurse Practitioner in July 2000, and in this position, she participates in the care assessments of patients undergoing radiation therapy.She provides in-depth analysis of a patient's current problems and participates in the management of the numerous symptoms produced by a patient's cancer and the side effects of radiation therapy.
Prior to joining Radiation Oncology Services, Ms. Smith was employed as a staff nurse at Cobb Hospital for eight years.In June 1977, she earned a degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Kennesaw State University.Subsequently, she worked for the Tanner Healthcare System in Carrollton, Georgia, and in August 1999, became a Nurse Practitioner for a large medical oncology practice in Austell, Georgia.
