Emijah Smith is a Native of the Seattle Central District area and is currently employed as the National Service Coordinator (MLK VISTA) of the Freemont Public Association.Her current work involves trainings, partnerships, and outreach around anti-oppression information and awareness.Ms. Smith has a Master's in Public Administration, focusing on Education and Social Policy.She previously served in the capacity as Site Counsel of Laurelhurst Elementary School, and is very passionate about academic achievement and anti-bias issues in our education system. Ms. Smith is the proud parent of a current 5th grader at SGS and is happy to be a part of the SGS community and is looking forward to serving as a board member in the upcoming year.
