    Edward H. Smith

    SEABROOK - Edward H. Smith, 58, of 56 Rocks Road, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at his home.

    He was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Merrimac, Mass., the son of the late Eugene and Hilda (Brault) Smith and had resided in Seabrook for 35 years.

    He was a graduate of Pentucket Regional High School.

    Mr. Smith was a machinist for the Henschel Corp. in Newburyport, Mass. for 27 years.

    He was an avid chess player and was rated 16th in New England.He enjoyed camping, playing horseshoes, darts and fishing.

    He played lead and bass guitar for 15 years with the former Natural Lights Band which dispersed in 1997.

    He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara D. (Walton) Smith; one daughter, Andrea Kibby of Barrington; one granddaughter; one brother, Charles Smith of Merrimac; three sisters, June Fisher of Haverhill, Mass., Susie Holmes of Raymond and Lillian McNeil of Billerica, Mass.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Services were held Monday in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, Hampton.

    Memorial donations may be made to Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter NH 03833 or to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plains, IL 60018.
