    NICKELSVILLE, Va. -- Darrell Wayne Smith, 37, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

    He was born in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of the late Billy Darrell and Virginia Louise Dingus Smith.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.He was employed by Auto Truck Transport in Dublin, Va.He was a member and trustee at St. Paul Assembly of God in St. Paul.

    He is survived by his wife, Lisa Kay Smith; two sons, Stephen Austin and Cameron Wayne Smith of the home; four sisters, Nina Addington and husband Danny of Nickelsville, Becky Bradley and husband Gray of Connelly, N.C., Melanie Deel and husband Rodney of Coeburn, and Hope Hall and husband Jerry of Castlewood; one brother, Andy Smith and wife Sandy of Hickory, N.C.; parents-in-law, Pete and Barbara Meade of Castlewood; two sisters-in-law, Barbie Gordon and husband David of Charlotte, N.C., and Sheila Johns and husband Brandon of Leland, N.C.; seven nieces; seven nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
