    Colton has served as a Senior Associate Priest at St. Stephen's since 2002. A priest for over 44 years he served parishes in Mississippi before coming to South Carolina where he was Rector of the Church of Our Saviour on John's Island until he retired. Currently he serves on the Advisory Committee for the Clinical Pastoral Education Program at Roper St. Francis Hospital. At St. Stephen's Colton teaches in our Adult Forum Program and assists us liturgically as well as being a frequent and creative preacher. He and his wife Angela have three grown children, four grandchildren, and live in West Ashley.

    Colton was born and grew up in Mississippi. After graduating from the University of the South and the General Theological Seminary he was ordained. He served congregations and worked in the Diocesan office in Mississippi for 30 years. He participated on various committees in the Diocese and was a deputy to General Convention three times.

    He moved to South Carolina in 1991 to serve as Rector of The Church of Our Saviour, Johns Island. Again he served in various capacities within this Diocese before retiring from full-time ministry in 2001.
