Jamie Sledd, licensed Physical Therapist, was hired to manage the Physical Therapy Department in September 2006.Sledd spent nearly seven years at Cedar Valley Medical Specialists in Waterloo helping orthopedic and sports-injury patients through rehabilitation. He relocated to Osage with his wife, Jean and their four children.
"Recovery from an athletic injury usually requires therapy treatments two to three times per week," explains Sledd."Driving to Rochester or Mason City for treatment is inconvenient. It is very important to offer that rehabilitation service locally."
According to Sledd, most athletic injuries involve the knees, ankles, or shoulders.Recovering from those injuries requires equipment made specifically for conditioning, strengthening and improving endurance."Athletes aren't just trying to become mobile again. They want to be able to compete in their sport," explained Sledd.
